Yes, you can schedule LinkedIn posts, two ways: LinkedIn's own built-in scheduler, free, inside the composer, or a scheduler tool if you're managing more than one profile or Page. Which one makes sense depends on how many accounts you're posting to and whether a client needs to see the post before it goes out.
How to schedule a personal post on LinkedIn (native, checked October 2026)
- Click Start a post on your LinkedIn homepage.
- Write the post.
- Click the Clock icon in the lower-right corner of the post window.
- Pick a date and time, anywhere from 10 minutes to 3 months ahead.
- Click Next, then Schedule.
How to schedule a company Page post (native)
The same Clock-icon flow, done from the Page's own posting view rather than your personal homepage. LinkedIn's help centre covers Page scheduling, rescheduling, editing and deleting as a separate set of steps from personal posts, since Pages are managed by admins rather than from a personal profile.
Document (PDF) posts
LinkedIn's native composer lets you upload a PDF, which displays as a swipeable, carousel-style document post. LinkedIn's own scheduling help lists only Events and Jobs as unsupported for scheduling. It doesn't call out document posts as an exception, but we didn't find a help article that explicitly confirms scheduling one works end to end natively. If it matters for a client post, test the flow once before relying on it, or use a scheduler built to handle it.
Image carousels
LinkedIn also supports multi-image carousel posts (not PDF-based) through the same native composer.
Native LinkedIn scheduling vs. a scheduler, compared
| Native LinkedIn | A scheduler (e.g. Poststack) | |
|---|---|---|
| Cost | Free | Paid, from ₹800/mo on Poststack |
| Accounts at once | One profile or Page you're logged into | Several clients' profiles and Pages from one place |
| Scheduling window | 10 minutes to 3 months ahead | Poststack: part of your regular content calendar |
| Client review before posting | Not built in | Poststack: no-login review link, client approves or leaves feedback before the team publishes |
| PDF documents | Native upload, scheduling not explicitly confirmed by LinkedIn | Poststack: PDF documents from desktop and phone |
| Image carousels | Native | Poststack: from desktop |
For an agency running several clients' LinkedIn Pages
The native scheduler works fine for a single account, but it means logging into each client's Page separately, with no way for the client to see a post before it's live. A scheduler built for agencies holds every client's queue in one calendar, and lets the client approve or comment on a no-login link first. The team still decides when it actually publishes; review doesn't hold a post back.
Doing this in Poststack
Connect each profile and company Page separately, write the post, and share it for review before scheduling if the client wants to see it first. Managing more than one client's LinkedIn Page? Try Poststack free for 7 days, no card needed.
FAQs
Can I schedule LinkedIn posts for free?
Yes. LinkedIn's own composer has a free built-in scheduler (the Clock icon), for personal posts and company Pages, up to 3 months ahead. A paid scheduler adds managing several accounts from one place and client review before publishing.
Can I schedule a PDF document post on LinkedIn?
You can upload a PDF natively and it becomes a carousel-style document post. LinkedIn's help centre doesn't explicitly confirm scheduling works for document posts the same way it does for text posts; Events and Jobs are the only types it lists as unsupported for scheduling. Test it once if it matters for a client post.
Can I schedule to a company Page?
Yes, natively. LinkedIn Pages have their own scheduling, rescheduling, editing and deleting flow, separate from personal posts, run by the Page's admins.
How far ahead can I schedule a LinkedIn post?
Natively, between 10 minutes and 3 months from now.
