Calculate your tool bill using your client count, connected social accounts and team size. Depending on how a tool charges, adding a client can fit inside the plan you already pay for or add a new line to the bill.
This post compares the three pricing models agency tools use, then prices one setup on each: 10 clients, 30 social accounts and 5 people.
Three ways tools charge
- Per client. You pay for a workspace or calendar for each client. Planable works this way, and Zoho Social's agency plans are sized by number of clients.
- Per user. You pay for each person on your team. Hootsuite works this way.
- Per account, with people included. You pay for a plan that covers a set number of social accounts and people, then add accounts or people as you go. SocialPilot, Recurpost and Poststack work this way.
Whichever model a tool uses, check whether another client or teammate fits within the plan's included capacity or requires an add-on or upgrade.
Per-client pricing is easy to pass through to a client, because each one has its own line item. Per-account pricing grows more slowly as you add clients with one or two accounts each, and faster for clients on four or five platforms. Price the tool at your own setup before you decide.
One setup, priced on each tool
10 clients, 3 social accounts each, and a team of 5. Each plan below is the one the vendor lists with client approvals. Prices exclude GST. Where a plan is billed annually, the figure is the monthly equivalent of a yearly payment.
| Tool | Plan that fits | Monthly equivalent, before GST | Basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| SocialPilot (India pricing) | Premium plus 2 users | ₹6,400 | ₹6,000 for 30 accounts and 3 users, plus ₹200 per extra user; India pricing, monthly billing |
| Poststack | Agency | ₹8,000 | 30 accounts and 5 people included, monthly billing |
| Recurpost | Agency plus 10 accounts and 2 teammates | about ₹13,500 | $79 for 20 accounts and 3 users, plus $4 per account and $20 per teammate ($159 at ₹85) |
| Zoho Social | Agency | ₹13,800 | ₹13,800 a month, billed annually, for 10 clients and 5 team members |
| Hootsuite | Advanced, 5 users | about ₹40,000 | ₹7,999 per user per month, billed annually (India pricing); approvals are on Advanced only |
| Planable | Pro, one workspace per client | about ₹50,150 | $59 per workspace per month, monthly list price before any volume discount |
SocialPilot, Recurpost, Planable and the Zoho Social and Hootsuite plan limits were checked on each vendor's site on 3 November 2026; the Zoho Social and Hootsuite rupee prices were checked on 21 October 2026. Dollar prices are converted at an assumed ₹85 to the dollar. Planable offers a volume discount from five workspaces and a lower rate on annual billing ($49 per workspace per month), so ₹50,150 is its list price, not a quote.
At this size SocialPilot's India pricing costs less than Poststack.
Your tool cost per client
Divide the monthly tool bill by the number of clients it serves. On Poststack's Agency plan, ₹8,000 across 10 clients is ₹800 per client per month, exclusive of GST. On Planable at monthly billing, the same 10 clients cost about ₹5,000 each.
Then compare that share with what each client pays you. If a retainer is ₹40,000 a month, ₹800 is 2% of it and ₹5,000 is 12.5%. That share comes out of your margin unless the retainer prices it in. Our post on social media management cost shows how to build the retainer from hours, overheads and tool cost.
Price the add-ons too
The headline plan is rarely the full bill. Before you commit, check:
- what each extra social account and each extra person costs
- whether client approvals are on every plan or only the higher ones
- whether clients who review posts need a paid seat
- whether white-label or branded client access costs extra
- the billing currency, since USD prices move with the exchange rate
- the trial terms, and whether a card is taken at sign-up
Poststack's plans
Poststack prices in rupees and charges by social accounts and people. Every plan has the same features, client approvals included, and the plans differ in how many accounts and people they include. White-label is the one paid extra, on Freelancer and Agency.
| Plan | Monthly price, exclusive of GST | Social accounts | People |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solo | ₹800 | 2 | Just you |
| Freelancer | ₹3,600 | 10 | You and 2 teammates |
| Agency | ₹8,000 | 30 | You and 4 teammates |
Extra social accounts and extra people cost ₹300 a month each on any plan. Yearly billing charges 10 months' price for 12 months. Clients review posts on a no-login link and never count as people, so adding a client adds accounts, not seats.
With 10 social accounts and 3 people, Freelancer costs ₹3,600 a month, against ₹6,000 for SocialPilot Premium (its plan with client approvals, India pricing) and $79 (about ₹6,700) for Recurpost Agency (checked 3 November 2026).
The time a tool saves counts too
A tool bill is easy to see. The hours your team spends chasing approvals on WhatsApp, re-sending the latest version and arguing about which round a client is on are harder to see, and they cost salary. If one tool costs more but takes those hours off an account manager, work out what the hours cost before you pick the cheaper one.
Poststack sends approval reminders by email, and on WhatsApp when the agency turns it on for that client (direct messages only, with the contact's consent). It also counts feedback rounds on each post, so one client turn is one round. Whether that is worth the difference against a cheaper tool depends on how many hours your team spends chasing today.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a social media management tool cost for a 10-client agency? For 10 clients with 3 social accounts each and a team of 5, the tools in this post range from ₹6,400 to about ₹50,150 a month before GST (prices checked between 21 October and 3 November 2026; Planable at list price before any volume discount).
Is per-client or per-account pricing better for agencies? It depends on how many accounts each client has. Per-client pricing charges for each client workspace. Per-account pricing charges for the accounts you connect, so it suits agencies whose clients use one to three platforms each. On either model, check whether another client fits within the plan's included capacity or needs an add-on or upgrade.
Do client reviewers count as paid users? On Poststack, no. Clients review on a no-login link and never count as people on the plan. Check this on any tool you compare, since a paid seat per client reviewer changes the total.
Can I pay for Poststack in rupees? Yes. Plans are priced in rupees and paid by UPI AutoPay or card through Razorpay. Prices exclude GST.
Is there a free trial? Yes. The trial runs for 7 days with no card needed, and covers 3 social accounts, you and 1 teammate, and 30 posts.
