Agorapulse charges per user. Its plans run from US$99 to US$199 per user per month on monthly billing, and each extra person costs the same again. For an Indian agency with three people and a handful of clients, that is a dollar bill that grows with every hire.
Whether you should move depends on what you use Agorapulse for. If your agency sells community management, check that any alternative has a social inbox and listening before you compare prices. If your days go on getting clients to approve posts and scheduling them, several tools cover that for less.
What Agorapulse is good at
Agorapulse is built around the social inbox: comments, messages and mentions from your clients' accounts in one place, with listening and reporting alongside. It suits teams that reply to customers on behalf of brands.
If that is a service you sell, check whether an alternative has an inbox before you look at price. Poststack does not have a social inbox or listening.
What Agorapulse costs a small agency
From Agorapulse's pricing page (checked 3 November 2026):
- Standard US$99, Professional US$149 and Advanced US$199 per user per month on monthly billing. Custom is quoted. Annual billing saves up to 20%.
- Standard, Professional and Advanced each include 1 user and 10 social profiles, shared across the team; Custom is unlimited. Additional users are charged at the same per-user rate.
- Shared content calendars start on Professional, with 5 shared calendars; Advanced adds unlimited, customisable shared calendars.
- Approvals are a workflow you configure; multi-step approval routing is on Custom.
Three people on Standard come to US$297 a month, about ₹25,200 at ₹85 to the dollar. If you need shared calendars, Professional is US$447 (about ₹38,000); Advanced, with unlimited shared calendars, is US$597 (about ₹50,700).
Five alternatives, priced for 5 clients, 10 accounts and 3 people
The figures below are for a sample agency: 5 clients, 10 social accounts and 3 people on the team. They exclude tax; Indian GST applies on top where the vendor charges it. Check each vendor's page for your own numbers, since plans and limits change.
| Tool | How it charges | Plan for this setup | Monthly cost or equivalent, excluding tax |

Approval features differ between these tools. Some are an internal sign-off inside your team; others let an outside client review. Check how a client reviews in each one, and whether a client reviewer needs an account or a paid seat.
Per-workspace and per-calendar tools grow with your client list; per-user tools grow with your team. Planable offers a volume discount from five workspaces, so at that size ask for a quote. HeyOrca gives 40% off at five or more calendars and quotes a custom rate above 10.
Poststack
Poststack is built around client approval. Each client is a workspace with its own calendar and connected accounts. Clients review a post on a no-login link, or log in to a client portal to see their calendar. You set feedback rounds per client, from 1 to 10 or off, and can turn on a 48-hour review window. Reminders go by daily email, and on WhatsApp when you turn it on for that client (direct messages only) and they have agreed to receive messages.
Review status does not stop a scheduled post going out. If a client must approve first, keep the post as a draft until they do.
It publishes to Instagram (posts, carousels, Reels, Stories), Facebook Pages, LinkedIn profiles and Pages, YouTube (videos and Shorts) and Threads, through each platform's official sign-in. Plans are in rupees: Solo ₹800 a month, Freelancer ₹3,600 and Agency ₹8,000 (30 accounts, you and 4 teammates), all before GST.
What you give up: no social inbox and no listening. See the Poststack and Agorapulse comparison for the two side by side.
SocialPilot
SocialPilot started in India and prices in rupees. On its India pricing, Premium is ₹6,000 a month for 30 accounts and 3 users, and it is the plan with client approval workflows. It also has a social inbox and white-label reports. Clients approve by email or in a review tab in the dashboard. See SocialPilot alternatives.
Buffer
Buffer's Team plan is US$10 per channel per month, billed yearly, with unlimited team members and content approval workflows. It supports TikTok and Google Business Profile, which Poststack does not. The cost grows with every channel you add.
HeyOrca
HeyOrca bills per calendar, with each client or brand on its own calendar. Basic is US$59 per calendar per month, with unlimited users, posts and approvals. Five or more calendars get a 40% multi-calendar discount, so 5 calendars are about US$177 a month (about ₹15,000), not US$295. Reports, the social inbox and listening are add-ons on Basic. A custom rate starts above 10 calendars.
Planable
Planable bills per workspace, usually one per client. Pro is US$59 per workspace per month on monthly billing, or US$49 on annual billing, with unlimited users. Analytics and the social inbox are paid add-ons. See Planable alternatives.
How to choose
Start with the work that takes your team's time:
- If you reply to comments and messages for clients every day, look at tools with a social inbox: SocialPilot, or Planable and HeyOrca with their add-ons. Price the add-on in.
- If the hold-up is client approval, look at how each tool asks the client to review, whether a reviewer needs an account or a paid seat, and whether you can cap feedback rounds. Our post on content approval software lists what to check.
- If your client list will grow faster than your team, per-workspace and per-calendar pricing will grow with it. If your team will grow faster, per-user pricing will.
- Check that every platform and format your clients use publishes directly.
Moving off Agorapulse
Name one person to own the switch, and plan a short overlap so nothing goes out twice:
- Export the reports you need from Agorapulse before the account closes. Approval history does not move with the posts.
- Connect each client's accounts in the new tool.
- Check whether Agorapulse lets you export your scheduled posts. If it does, map the columns to the new tool's import fields. In Poststack you can import posts from a CSV file and check each one before it becomes a draft.
- Check the media, dates, times and time zone on every imported post.
- Before the first post is due in the new tool, the switch owner confirms each post is scheduled in only one tool and removes it from the other.

Frequently asked questions
Is Agorapulse priced per user? Yes. Standard, Professional and Advanced are US$99, US$149 and US$199 per user per month on monthly billing, with 10 social profiles shared across the team on each plan. Annual billing saves up to 20%.
What is a cheaper Agorapulse alternative for a small agency? At 10 social accounts and 3 people, Poststack's Freelancer plan is ₹3,600 a month and SocialPilot's Premium is ₹6,000 on its India pricing, both before GST. Buffer's Team plan is about ₹8,500 a month for 10 channels, billed yearly. Check how each one handles client review before you choose.
Which Agorapulse alternative has a social inbox? SocialPilot includes one. Planable and HeyOrca offer it as an add-on. Poststack does not have a social inbox.
Do clients need an account to approve posts? It depends on the tool. In Poststack, clients review on a no-login link and never count as people on the plan, or they can log in to a client portal.
Can I move my scheduled posts from Agorapulse? Check whether Agorapulse lets you export them and whether the new tool can import that file. Poststack imports posts from a CSV file. Check media, times and time zones after the import, and remove each post from Agorapulse so it goes out only once.
