Planable Pro can require approval before a post is scheduled or published, with client approvers included in its unlimited users. Hootsuite Advanced routes approval requests to team members; a client approving inside Hootsuite needs a paid user seat with access to the social account.
The cost comparison changes with your agency: Planable charges per workspace, usually one per client, while Hootsuite charges per user. Price your client list and your team separately before comparing the totals.
Planable pricing and approval
Planable Pro costs US$59 per workspace per month on monthly billing, or US$49 a month equivalent on annual billing, as checked on 3 November 2026. Users are unlimited. At an illustrative ₹85 to the dollar, that is about ₹5,015 per client workspace on monthly billing.
Basic offers optional approval. On Pro, selecting Required blocks scheduling and publishing until one authorised approver signs off. That approver can approve their own work, so assign the permission to the intended client reviewer. Owners and admins can change the workspace workflow; required approval is a setting they control. Enterprise adds sequential approval.
Pro includes 150 posts per workspace per month and 10 connected social pages. The post counter resets on the first of each month. Analytics, inbox and listening cost extra; volume discounts are available on request.

Clients can view and comment through a public link without an account. Formal sign-off needs a free Planable account with approval permission, as described in Planable's agency guide.
With Lock content after approval enabled, editing requires revoking approval or disabling the lock. Unlocked approved posts can be edited; the help page does not establish an automatic approval reset after every edit. Use the lock and explicitly revoke approval when a signed-off version needs changes. See Planable's approval help.
Hootsuite pricing and approval
The global Hootsuite pricing page, checked 3 November 2026, lists Advanced at US$399 per user per month on annual billing, with unlimited social accounts. This is a global USD list price, not an India quote.
Advanced includes inbox assignment and routing, plus custom reporting with advanced exports and sharing. Its listening includes 30-day Quick Search; Enterprise expands the history to 13 months. These are plan inclusions, with the listening limits set out in Hootsuite's listening help.
The approval request workflow selects team members with social-account access. Required approvals still pending at the scheduled time cause the post to expire instead of publishing. It provides team sign-off rather than a public client approval link.
Enterprise can record approval received outside Hootsuite. A permitted team member records the decision and adds a note; the client does not approve through that feature.
Team subscription cost for 10 clients
Assume 30 connected accounts and 3 agency team members. The table prices the agency team's subscription. Planable uses a Pro workspace per client; the Hootsuite row includes only the 3 agency users.

Now add one client approver for each of the 10 clients. Planable's unlimited users cover them without extra seats. To bring them into Hootsuite's team workflow, the example needs 13 paid users: US$5,187 a month equivalent, about ₹4,40,895 at ₹85, using the global list price. Alternatively, collect their decisions outside Hootsuite; the 3-seat total covers agency users only, and recording those external approvals inside Hootsuite is an Enterprise feature with custom pricing.

Choosing between Planable and Hootsuite
Planable suits an agency that wants required client approval with unlimited users per workspace, and can budget for a workspace per client. Enterprise adds sequential approval. Include analytics and any inbox or listening add-ons in the quote if your team needs them.
Hootsuite Advanced suits teams doing customer care alongside publishing: message routing and reporting are included. Its approval requests stay within the team-user workflow. Budget client users separately, or arrange client sign-off outside the product.
Check the billing commitment, payment schedule and cancellation terms on both annual offers. A monthly equivalent is not a monthly contract.
Poststack as another option
